Have you been seeing traders on social media trading FX Vol 20, FX Vol 40, FX Vol 60, FX Vol 80, and FX Vol 99 on MT5 and wondering how you can add these instruments to your own trading platform?
If you have searched for these instruments on your regular forex broker and couldn’t find them, there is a reason for that. These are synthetic indices instruments offered through Weltrade, and you need the appropriate synthetic indices trading account before you can access them on MT5.
The good news is that adding FX Volume indices to MT5 is relatively straightforward once you have created the correct Weltrade account.
In this guide, I’ll show you how to create a Weltrade synthetic indices trading account, connect it to MT5, and add FX Vol 20, FX Vol 40, FX Vol 60, FX Vol 80, and FX Vol 99 to your Quotes tab so you can access their charts and trade them.

- FX Vol 20

What You Need to Add FX Volume Indices to MT5
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A Weltrade account
- A Weltrade synthetic indices trading account
- The MT5 application
- Your Weltrade MT5 login ID and password
- An internet connection
How To Create Weltrade Synthetic indices Account
If you haven’t created a Weltrade account yet, follow the steps below
Step 1: Sign Up for a Weltrade account
The first thing you need to do is create an account with Weltrade.
To sign up with Weltrade, visit their sign-up page. You will be brought to a page that looks like this:

After completing the registration process, log in to your Weltrade account.
You’ll be taken to your Weltrade dashboard, where you can access different sections of your account.

If you already have a Weltrade account, you can simply log in and proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Create a Weltrade Synthetic Indices Trading Account
To access FX Volume indices, you need to create a synthetic indices trading account. On Weltrade, synthetic indices are house under the SyntX account.
After logging into Weltrade, make sure you are on the dashboard.

On the dashboard, locate the My Account section.

Depending on your account, you may see both real and demo accounts.
If you want to practice trading FX volume indices first, you can create a demo account.
For a demo account, switch to the Demo section and click Open New Demo Account.
Step 3: Select MT5 as Your Trading Platform
After clicking Open New Demo Account, you’ll be taken to a page where you need to select your account details.
The first option is the trading platform.

Since we want to trade FX Volume indices on MetaTrader 5, select MT5.
Weltrade may also provide an MT4 option, but for this tutorial, select MT5.
Step 4: Select the Synthetic Indices Account Type
Next, you’ll need to select the account type.
If you want to trade FX Volume indices, select the SyntX account.
This is important because the SyntX account houses the synthetic indices instruments offered by Weltrade.
Selecting the wrong account type may prevent you from accessing the FX Volume instruments you’re looking for.
Step 5: Select Your Account Currency
The next option is the account currency.
In the example shown in the video, the available currency is USD.
Select USD and continue.
Step 6: Select Your Demo Account Balance
Next, you’ll be asked to select the amount you want to use as your demo account balance.
You may see different balance options depending on what Weltrade currently provides.
For beginners, I recommend choosing an amount that is reasonably close to what you would realistically be able to deposit if you later decide to trade with a real account.
For example, if you can realistically start with $200, you can use a $200 demo balance instead of practicing with $50,000 or $100,000.
This can help you develop a more realistic approach to position sizing and risk management.
After entering the required information, click Open Account.
Weltrade will then create your synthetic indices trading account and provide you with the MT5 login details.
Step 7: Get Your Weltrade MT5 Login Details
After creating your synthetic indices account, Weltrade will provide the credentials you need to connect the account to MT5.
These include your:
- MT5 Login ID
- MT5 Password
- Server information
Weltrade also sends these details to the email address associated with your account.
So, if you don’t have the credentials available, check the email you used when registering with Weltrade.
Step 8: Connect Your Weltrade Account to MT5
Now that you have your MT5 login details, open the MetaTrader 5 application.
On the MT5 mobile application:
- Open MT5.
- Tap the menu icon at the top-left corner.
- Select Manage Accounts.
- Tap the + button at the top-right corner.
- Search for Weltrade.
You should see Weltrade in the search results.

In the video, two options appeared, including Weltrade Limited and Weltrade Global Limited.
Select Weltrade Limited.
Step 9: Enter Your Weltrade MT5 login details
After selecting Weltrade Limited, you’ll be asked to enter your account information.
Enter your:
Login ID
This is the MT5 login number provided to you by Weltrade.
Password
Enter the MT5 password associated with your synthetic indices account.
Server
Select the correct server based on the type of account you created.
If you created a demo account, select the Weltrade demo server.
If you created a real account, select the appropriate Weltrade real server.
After entering all the information, tap Login.
If everything is correct, your Weltrade synthetic indices account will be connected to MT5.
Step 10: Add FX Volume Indices to MT5
Now comes the important part: adding the FX Volume instruments to your MT5 Quotes tab.
Once your Weltrade account is connected, go to the Quotes tab.
You’ll see the instruments that are currently available in your account.
To add the FX Volume indices, tap the + button at the top-right corner.

Then select:
Synthetic Indices
You’ll be presented with a list of the synthetic indices available to your account.
Look for the FX Volume instruments.
Step 11: Add FX Vol 20, FX Vol 40, FX Vol 60, FX Vol 80 and FX Vol 99
From the synthetic indices list, locate the following instruments:
- FX Vol 20
- FX Vol 40
- FX Vol 60
- FX Vol 80
- FX Vol 99
Tap each instrument you want to add.
Once selected, they will be added to your MT5 Quotes tab.
You can add all five instruments if you want to monitor or trade them.
After selecting them, return to your Quotes tab.
You should now see:
FX Vol 20, FX Vol 40, FX Vol 60, FX Vol 80, and FX Vol 99
listed among your available trading instruments.
Step 12: Open the FX Volume Chart on MT5
Once the instruments have been added, you can open any of them to view its chart.
For example, tap FX Vol 20 and select Chart.
You can then perform your technical analysis directly on MT5.
You can also repeat the same process for:
- FX Vol 40
- FX Vol 60
- FX Vol 80
- FX Vol 99
From the chart, you can use your preferred technical analysis tools and indicators before deciding whether to place a trade.
Why Can’t I Find FX Vol 20 on My MT5?
If you’ve searched for FX Vol 20 or the other FX Volume instruments on MT5 and can’t find them, the most likely reason is that you haven’t connected the appropriate Weltrade synthetic indices account to your MT5 app.
Simply having an MT5 application isn’t enough.
You need to:
- Create a Weltrade account.
- Create a SyntX synthetic indices account.
- Connect the account to MT5.
- Open the Quotes tab.
- Select Synthetic Indices.
- Add the FX Volume instruments you want to trade.
Once you’ve completed these steps, the available instruments should appear in your MT5 Quotes tab.
